Dale came home Friday night and he and I drove to Spokane Saturday morning at 6:30. Bill had been up there since Friday morning working vacation coverage for the weekend at Deconess Hospital. He was on call Saturday so was able to meet us at the apartment we got for Dale and start getting things set up for the big move. What an exhausting day. We painted the whole apartment with the exception of the kitchen. That still has to be done but it is small so it won't be that big of a job. Bill and Dale rented a U-Haul truck and picked up a couch and dining room set that we bought from Craig's list. There were alot of things to get from Lowe's (new toilet, sink, kitchen flooring, bathroom light fixture, bathroom sink) and that took a couple of hours. I stayed and painted while all that was being done. It looks nice so far and I'm glad Dale will have a nice place to come home to. That adds alot to personal moral. So, here's a few picture of proof that we were really there. We got home at 11:30pm We send pictures when it's completed.

Dale painting the utility room. It will be nice to not have to save quarters to do his laundry

We got a nice couch on Craig's list. A nap was in order around 2pm

A table with four chairs will be nice for dinner guests or game nights.

Bill is the best after painting cleaner. Clean up is half the battle when you paint. As you can see, a new counter top and sink will be a nice addition.

We better look exhausted because we were. Bill had to stay in Spokane to finish his call comittment so he sent us off around 8:45pm. It was a long day but we were happy with all we got accomplished.

Wow guys. I can't wait to see when it is all done. It looks like a really cute place and you sure did score with the craigslist stuff!
How exciting! It would be fun to fix up a place and get it ready to be your own. :) Can't say I envy the long day of hard work though. :)
What great parents!
