1) My chances of getting accpeted were about 80%.
2)My chances of getting a good scholarship are pretty good.
3)Tuition is only around $14,000 a year, which is really cheap for law school.
4)I served part of my mission in the South and loved the heritage and culture.
Those are just a few of the reasons why I applied here. Having said all of this, Faulkner is really a last choice option. Having never visited the campus, it is not really high on my list and so basically it was what is called a "safety school" meaning that if I don't get accepted to my first choices, at least I have somewhere I would be interested in going. That is how I feel this afternoon. Even if I get rejected from the rest of the schools I applied to, at least I will be going to law school next year. Here are just a few pictures I found on the internet of the school. Also before I close, I just want to send a shout-out to my homeboy Scott. Congrats on getting accpeted to GW. That is exciting news for you guys!

Ooh, can't believe I get to be the first one on the blog to say Hats Off to William Dale Smith.
Way to go!!
Before I completed reading the blog I was thinking "ooh, Alabama would be a great place to visit." Scratch that! But you never know.... A girl can dream.
I bet it's a nice feeling 'mom and dad' to see all of your children in good places for themselves at the same time. Says a lot for all involved, in-laws included.

Congrats Dale! I'm sure it is just the beginning of acceptance letters. Still looks like a good option.
congrats daledogg!
It looks like a beautiful area! I can't believe you are really going to law school! Doesn't that make you feel old? I don't feel old enough for that kind of stuff! I am so excited for you!
what up dogg!!! law school here we come!!
We're excited for the process to begin. Congratulations We'll be happy where ever you go. Keep us posted. :)
Congratualtions, son. Alabama: I guess we can root for the TIDE. Keep up the good work.

congrats! i think it sounds like an adventure going far away from anyone or anything you know. hopefully this is the first of many good news letters!
Well, what a great reason to get me to Alabama--one of the only three states left I have never had occasion to visit. Big fish in a little pond--keep that in mind. It can be the best. You are a giant "fish" to me! Where ever you go, "they" will be the winners!
Great Aunt Georgia--with emphasis on the GREAT, as usual.
Nice Job Dale. We are quite proud of you and on a very small level feel responsible for your success. Okay, a minute little level, but there is a part of both Harold and I that feel attached and wish you the best just like you are our own brother! Rock on dude, and may all future letters from universities be good news.
