ANOTHER SATURDAY WITH THE MUNN GIRLS

Bill and I are Home Teaching companions. This has been alot of fun. We HT a family with 5 children - - The Munn family. The three oldest are girls and I have had them over several times to make cookies and bread etc. I really enjoy them and they seem to enjoy it here. I'm a little worried that the oldest, McKenzie will be outgrowing these activities. She will be a freshman this next school year. We'll have to wait and see. Amanda's (the mom)birthday is coming up on July 3 and I wanted to help the girls make something for her. I ordered some vinyl clock makings (sayitonthewall.com),dug up a tile from our house construction and bought the clock makings from Michael's Craft along with an eisel. It turned out so nice and we also made some cupcakes from a cupcake book Dale got from Reva and Beth for his graduation from BYU. They were called garden cupcakes but let me tell you, they were so much cuter in the book but it was fun putting them together. We decided it was way too much effort to go to. Just frost the cupcakes and eat them. So much easier and quicker and alot less mess. Oh well - - it's fun to try. Below are some pictures from the activities. I didn't take many pictures from assembling the cupcakes. We just wanted to get them done.

McKell rolling the cupcakes in crushed Oreo cookies so it would look like dirt.

All the cupcakes completed. We made peas, lettuce and shovels with seeds.

Designing the clock and getting the stickers off without destroying them was tricky at times but worth it in the end. I relied on McKenzie alot.

More of the clock assembly.

We were very satisfied with the end result of the clock and Amanda really liked it.

What would an activity be without Bill helping out with something to eat. He assembled some pizza for us and made some of his famous punch. Thanks Bill for the Pizza and for getting all the things we needed for the cupcakes. He took McKell along to help with that. She talked him into getting the girls some doughnuts. What a cute little 8 year old girl.
Monday, Bill took the Garrett and Charlie Munn to McDonalds with some gift certificates they had from their birthday. I do with the girls and Bill takes the boys. Bill said all the kids were so noisey at the Playland and over all the noise, he heard Charlie (4 years old) say to his brother Garrett (6 years old) "Hey Garrett, did you know Brother Smith doesn't have a fingernail?" Bill laughed about that. So, to my kids, see how much fun we could have if you moved close to us when we have grandkids old enough.

You guys make great home teachers, and great grandparents too. Pizza and cupcakes is a pretty sweet deal.

Keep the posts coming, you mentioned that you feel like it is only your blog lately, but that is okay because I love hearing about what is going on with you.
