Dale came home this weekend. Bill was working in Spokane until Monday morning so I was glad to have him home. We rented the movie Apollo 13 to watch in the media room. Good movie and in the media room was even better. So........back to the post title. Dale was watching some of the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London. They kept talking about how the thing to have was strawberries and cream. It was 102 degrees outside, we were tired and a little bit hungry so we made a trip to the store to get the needed ingredients for the infamous strawberries and cream.
Just cut the strawberries and sprinkle with very little sugar - - pour whip cream (liquid form) over the strawberries in a bowl and enjoy. OH MY GOSH it is the best thing I've had in a long time. We saved some for dessert on Sunday. I told Bill on the phone about it and he chuckled over my excitement. I plan on introducing it to him.
Here's the proof that Dale enjoyed it and trust me, I was right behind him.

For all who read this comment, if you haven't put your lips around a spoonful of strawberries and cream, you seriously need to make a special trip to the store and get the cream and strawberries. We had seconds today after church and the fruit and the cream were chilled and it was 100x better. My new favorite, inexpensive dessert.

i LOVE strawberries and cream. and even more so, raspberries and cream. and of course peaches and cream. all yummy treats!

I always thought this would be kind of gross...but I agree with everyone else-YUMMY!
