I have been thinking, this week, about what happened 2 years ago today. Our last missionary came home after serving his mission.
BEFORE
AFTER

WOW How time flies. Some of the words from the song say perfectly how I feel about time - - and how quickly it passes - - and the fact that we don't have little ones at home anymore - -

and seeing what kind of lives they are living now.
If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that Id like to do
Is to save every day
Till eternity passes away
If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
Id save every day like a treasure and then,
Again, I would spend them with you
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
In evaluating the last two years, I can see that alot has happened and much progress is being made.
Bill and Janet: Still never regretting their move to Prosser. Enjoying life and the many trips we've taken. Still working hard and cherishing the time we have together.
Emalei: Had just moved to Seattle starting a new job at the Seattle Hebrew Academy - - got married - - moved to Switzerland for a year - - and now returned to her old job in Seattle at the Hebrew Academy.
Abbie: Was a newlywed of 2 1/2 months - - had sweet little Ella - - graduated from BYU with her masters degree - - moved to Virginia while Scott attends law school - - and is now moving to Tennessee because of a transfer in schools.
Dale: Was finishing up last year at BYU - - graduated from BYU with his bachelors degree - - moved to Spokane to attend law school at Gonzaga - - is moving to UT to get his commercial pilot license (pursuing his boyhood dream of being a pilot)
Dane: Returned from his mission - - met and married Bridget - - started school at UVU and getting his bachelors degree while getting his pilot's license.
Lots of ups and downs in the last two years but everyone is healthy, happy and blessed. What will we do with the next two years?

Can't believe it's been two years! It's been a great two years though. Thanks mom for summarizing this for us. Two years from now, we'll look back and wonder where all that time went! :)
I remember how excited you were to get him HOME!!! It's amazing!
I love Jim Croce too! Now you will have me singing Bad Bad Leroy Brown all night! :)
Good post mom. That is one of my favorite Jim Croce songs too. I'm glad you introduced me to him a while ago. And glad you brought me in this world. :)
Busy family! :)
Great post. Talk about someone being "gone too soon," Jim Croce certainly qualifies. We were just getting to where we appreciated his music and then he was gone.
For some reason, I was expecting to see my name following Dane's. I was there too.... I feel lucky to have been at either the farewell or the homecoming for all four of your children. I remember being especially impressed with Dane's talk the Sunday after he returned.
Your summary once again proves the point that a lot can happen in a short time.
