We all got off to a good start by going straight to the buffet table.

Our first port was Ketchikan where we saw the lumberjack show and walked around the town.
The next port was Juneau. We all took a tram up the mountain and did some hiking up Mt Roberts. The views were stunning and lots of conversation and laughs made it even more fun.

After leaving Juneau, we cruised down the channel to Steward Glacier. It was stunning to see and experience. We were out on deck watching it for almost 4 hours.
We all took turns watching Ella while we were out on the deck. She had a blast having all that area to roam and got lots of attention from other passengers.

Our last port was Skagway. Bill and I had been there before and so we offered to stay behind with Ella while the kids went on a bus and train tour to the Yukon. After a walk around the town (quite quaint, by the way) I put Ella down for a nap and Bill took a helicopter ride to the top of a glacier and was able to walk around the glacier. That was his treat for treating us all to the cruise.

The kids all had a good time in the Yukon and, in general, on the whole cruise. It's fun to become peers with your siblings.
It was hard to leave this floating city but after the long drive home from Vancouver, it felt good to sleep in my own bed.

oh my..I think I want to try that cruise one day now! I love your comment..."it's fun to become peers with your siblings" It's so sweet!
It was SO fun! Thanks, mom and dad!
Amazing photos Janet. I have never had any desire to see Alaska, but maybe I was wrong. It looks beautiful. Ella is so incredibly cute! If you need a baby fix, I have a lot of them for you to borrow!
Boy, for a minute there, I thought every other pic was going to be of Ella - which would have been just fine BTW.
Alaska does look stunning and you did a great job capturing its beauty!

(PS: Liked the new updated pics of the fam on the side pane too.)
It looks like you all had a wonderful time. the pictures are great. :o)
It was such a fun trip! Probably the funnest one I've been on as a family. Thanks mom and dad!!
That is so neat that you can do that with the entire family! I am glad that you had a good time. I have always wanted to go to Alaska. But right now I just enjoy the beauty in Montana.
Thanks for sharing!
Janet! I have finally found you! Remember me? I have tried to figure out where you are living, etc. for years, and I saw your blog listed on Bonnie Tonita White's, whose blog I found through a comment that Bonnie Hunt Erickson left on Lucette Desnoyer's facebook posting (I taught Lucette in Longueueil). Send me your email address and I will send you an invitation to my blog (it is private). I would love to catch up!
Janet your taking the kids on a cruise it just such a great way to keep the family enjoying one another. I want a gathering place where the kids can come and meet each year but after reading your experience on the cruise maybe we don't need a cabin but just a big boat!! That is cool about Esther too isn't it?
