We invited some anesthetists, that Bill works with at Kadlec Hospital, over on Saturday morning to see the balloons. We have a vista view and it has been so fun in the past. I fixed some cinnamon rolls and we had hot chocolate. Well, the balloons went up and the breeze shifted and they didn't come by our house like they have in the past. What a disappointment.
Sunday morning I got up and looked out the window before getting ready for an early church because of choir practice. I could see the balloons starting to come up and I could tell they were hovering on the river. Bill and I got dressed real quick and jumped in the car. What a fun, short, 30 minutes. None of my pictures were zoomed in on. The balloons were flying low and there was hardly anyone around. We went to the river and past the airport where they were taking off. Just as we turned the corner to come up to our housing addition, there was a balloon right there waiting for the chaser car to come and get it. We stopped and took more pictures. It was a gorgeous morning as the sun was rising. We got home 45 minutes before I needed to be at the church for choir practice. I've never gotten ready so quick but it was worth it.
