THE PRICE OF COMPANY

Well, we're home and I have tons to do but thought I'd make a quick post so everyone doesn't quit looking at our blog. I only took videos of planes for my boys on our trip so there will be no picture posts. The time was relaxing and so great to get away with Bill but other than that, we can't brag much about the cruise. Enough said about that. Now to the title of the post.
Our gas (utility) bill for the month of November was $62. We got our gas bill for the month of December and it was $226. You read it right!!! Can you believe the difference. That is due to 9 adults taking warm showers every day for 2 weeks, the youngest child loving his time to read on his school break next to the fireplace (that would be a gas fireplace - - not a wood burning), two people who live in Switzerland who loved to keep the downstairs heat no lower that 78 degrees. The blast could suffocate you as you hit the bottom of the stairs, a dishwasher that normally was used every other day but during these two weeks it was going at least twice a day. Do you get the picture? When all is said - - - Bill and I had a good laugh about the rise in the bill but wouldn't change it for anything. Everyone was comfortable and we wouldn't want it any other way. Here's to heat, hot water, fireplaces and plain old comfort from the cold elements outside.

SOrry about the lame cruise. Bummer. I guess you live and learn right? And that is crazy about the electricity bill! I was about to post a video of Ella but maybe will wait until tomorrow.

Whoa! Sorry about the high bill! We're an expensive bunch, but we sure appreciate all the comfort and ease of being home. :)

Janet, your attitude is perfect! Of course you are willing to pay the extra price when all the kids and sweet grandbaby comes home. What a blessing.
