MY LITTLE VISITOR

I'm home alone so much that when Amanda Munn (Bill and I HT her and her family) called to see if I would help her out, I was actually excited. They live 20 miles from town and she had to take one of her daughters the opposite direction to driver's ed. McKell (9 years old) had Primary Achievement Day and dance practice in town. She dropped her off at 2:30 and I took her to the church at 3:30, picked her up at 4:30 - - brought her home to change into her dance clothes and then took her to dance practice at 5:00. I love to have this little girl in the house with me. She came in, took her shoes and coat off and promptly headed to the table to do her homework. She sat there for an hour doing homework and reading a book. When I told her it was time to go she headed out to the car and talked the whole way to the church. When she came home, she headed into the bathroom into her dance clothes and then gathered all her things up to leave again. She told me all about her primary activity. I love how she feels comfortable in the house and around me. She is such sweet company. I went into the fitness club to make sure everything was okay and found half the ward there with their little girls. I sat there for about 15 minutes watching them perform and visited. It felt like old times when I had children involved in activities and was around other mothers. It was a fun afternoon. Thanks McKell for coming to visit me.

When she came out of the bathroom she said "okay, I'm ready to go" I asked if I could take her picture and she looked at me with surprise and a smile and said "sure"
With that she went into this pose. She is such a cute little girl - - I had to share her with you.

I wanted to visit with you a bit, but it's hard with all those women to visit with. :) You are so great to my sister and her kids, thank you! You are just so great period! We have loved having you in the ward. There aren't better people than you and Bill!

I was just talking with a friend of mine today who says she feels kind of isolated in our ward and that when she had younger children it was easier for her to feel like she had relationships with the other ladies because their young kids were the catalyst that brought them all together.

It's great that you are able to participate with the kids, go to the dance practice, and have some great visiting time with other ward members.

By the way, I'd love to have you com exercise if you lived closer. I need a buddy!
