BIRTHDAY WISHES.....1 and 2 days early

Bill and I are leaving town this morning (Oct 2) until Sunday night. We have two birthdays to celebrate in the family and I won't be here to post on the actual day. Bill's birthday is October 3 and Dale's is October 4. It was always fun to celebrate these birthdays together and I think Dale enjoyed the fact that when we celebrated his dad's birthday, his celebration would be the next day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY guys. I love you both. Dale will be home next weekend so we will celebrate the two birthdays then with favorite meals and presents. Pictures of that celebration will be coming up next weekend.

Dale's 3rd birthday and Bill's 36th. Dale loved Cookie Monster. Didn't I do a great job on the cake?

Dale's 8th birthday and Bill's 41st. I did the football field cake. I'm impressed with myself. The picture of the two of them was before leaving for Dale's baptism.

Glad to see that you're so content with your cake making skills. :)
Happy birthday to our birthday boys. Bryce's birthday is also on the 4th so we have three birthdays we're trying to take care of this weekend! :)

Janet, ignore Abbie... obviously she takes imagination for granted. I, for one, LOVE that Cookie Monster cake! Very clever.

Those pics were super cute. Nice job Janet on the cakes, its amazing what a little creativity can do. I've made some fun cakes through the years, some great, some flops, but all were fun to do.

Happy Birthday to the two birthday boys!

The cakes look really nice. I did some pretty good cakes in my day too although I don't think we have pictures to prove it.

What a fun post! I think some of us should show up for Janet's next birthday and have a cake decorating party slash contest.

I took a cake decorating class when I lived in SLC in the 80's and boy was that fun. I took an 'overly' decorated cake into work the day after each class and sometimes the amount of frosting was a bit too much for some people. BUT, it was fun and that was primarily why I took the class.

Not that it's happened often over the years, but I will get to spend a wee part of the day w/Dale on his birthday.

Hope you all know how lucky you were and are to have had a mother who made special days special AND took pictures to record for posterity.
