THIS ONE'S FOR DALE

Well, Dale played along with this survey (or whatever you want to call it) and put me down as one who would respond. (actually, Abbie put me down also, but Dale responded to Abbie's and so I'm repsonding to Dale's ) I thought "I'm not going to do this" but I have to tell you that while I'm going to sleep at night or if I wake up during the night, the thoughts running through my mind (besides the things I need to take to UT for Thanksgiving) are: what are some of the answers I would give IF I DID DO THE SURVEY. So, this morning, I thought 'alright already' do it and have it done with so..... this one's for you Dale and the rest of you can enjoy it - - -if you want.

A) Four jobs I have had in my life:
1. working at an RV park during the summer
2. Surgery Scheduling Coordinator at LDS hospital (as you know that's when your Dad and I met
3. piano teacher
4. office manager for Valley Anesthesia (current)

Four movies I would watch over and over: this is a tough one because I don't watch movies more than once but I'll stretch the truth
1. It's a Wonderful Life (actually I have seen this many times)
2. White Christmas ( I love this one)
3. Family Man
4. City of Angels

Four Places I have lived:
1 Rawlins Wyoming
2. Quebec City, Quebec
3. Rochester, Minnesota
4. Sunnyside, WA

Four TV shows that I watch:
1. Law and Order (only because I like spending time with your Dad and he loves it)
2. Dancing with the Stars
3. Dancing with the Stars Results
4. Anything on the Home and Garden channel

Four places I have been on vacation (oh, where do I start)
1. Italy
2. Dubai
3. Hawaii
4. Brugge, Belgium

People who e-mail me regularly: (no one regular but I'll list some I get some from occasionally)
1. Jeanie Ricks
2. Bonnie White
3. Abbie
4. Dale

Four of my favorite foods:
1. Bill's mashed potatoes
2. Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes
3. Swiss Steak
4. anything that Bill fixes (you all know he is the BEST cook)

Four places I would rather be right now:
1. Someplace warm
2. In my home with all my kids here at the same time. :)
3. On a cruise with Bill (at least I have that to look forward to in January)
4. On a trip with all my syblings and their spouses. I think that would be so fun.

Four people who might put this on their blog

Sorry..... I'm not going to obligate anyone. I'm just a lurker anyway.

So, there you have it. I enjoyed reading everyone elses and was entertained but as I finished mine I thought........dull. Oh well, I'm happy and love my life and as Dale and I were talking the other day "I'm comfortable with myself" or whatever it was - - do you remember Dale?

Mom, way to go. I wouldn't say it was dull. How come you like Hostess so much? Everytime I get a cupcake from them or a twinkee or something all I can think of is how dry they are. I thought up a new category for this thing:

Four of the worst sleeping habits I have seen in my life:

1. Mom in Sunnyside.
2. Mom in Prosser.
3. Mom on vacation.
4. Mom in a car.

Small tv lights, street lamps, the house creeking. The list goes on. Unfortunately I think I am inheriting that bad sleep habit. I used to be a straight sleeper; now I average about 3-4 wake-ups in the middle of the night. Sad. Hope you sleep a little bit better tonight...I know I will now that you posted. :)

Dale,
Hey, I just don't like lights and so it becomes an issue depending where I'm at. You'd be happy to know that we can sleep with the bedroom door open now because I close the utility room door instead. All those lights coming from the utility room is what the issue was. I'm sleeping so much better now. Just thought you'd be glad to hear that. :)

I found your answers VERY revealing Janet....

I was crushed not to be included on your list of people who regularly email you....

I saw a recipe for mashed potatoes recently that added blue cheese and bacon to them. Yummo (if you like blue cheese that is)!!

Lastly, when I started reading Dale's posting about sleep habits, I was reminded of when you and William were first married. In the Mountain and Central time zones, the movie of the week started at 8pm vs. 9pm in the Pacific and Eastern. We could count on you being asleep by 8:30pm. It was like clockwork. My recollection is that we teased you a bit.

Lastly Janet, do you remember when I lived in Seattle that you asked me how I could take a shower with the door closed - wasn't I afraid, etc? I NEVER take a shower when I'm here by myself without thinking of that question! (The year was 1990 for those who were wondering how long I've been plagued by this question....)

Janet, glad you finally caved and answered the questions! :)

Can't wait for Sunday...

Mom,

I didn't know that you worked at an RV park... Random. And I agree with Dale about the Hostess treats. Seriously, there are much better things out there to spend calories on, other than those dry yucky things. See you Saturday!

To those who are concerned about one of my favorite foods being dry. Hey,you just check the longest day out on the expiration and you can get a pretty moist cupcake. To each his own

i think it's great you adopted hostess cupcakes as one of your favorites! it's a random fact about you i might have not known otherwise. and it makes me smile thinking about you eating one....while no one is looking (since they all think they're too dry).
