I know Abbie is looking for a picture of when she was a baby. Maybe as the day wears on, I'll feel guilty and post one. I don't have a scanner so I have to take a picture of a picture. It's early and I don't have the time right now but wanted to at least get a post saying HAPPY 27th BIRTHDAY ABBIE!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope the Rufeners make a special day for you. Your birth was really the only one that your dad was there the whole time with me. I remember that special feeling but was bummed because all there was on TV was football games. In those days you stayed in the hospital at least 2 days after birth. AHHHH Well, have a great day Abbie. I don't know who will read this today but I'm thinking of you and love you.

How fun! I totally forgot that I would get a special post. :) It was a nice day... rather quiet and subdued but nice. We went to a movie, did some shopping and then went to Cheesecake for dinner... YUMMY.
Monday when I was driving to DIA, I was thinking about the last day of the year and thought about Brent Harman, whom I knew had a birthday that day. Interesting story that is. But in the Smith family I only know that Emalie was born in March. No others. Wait! The last time I saw Dale at Harold's in December (incidentally his organ performance that day in Sacrament meeting was outstanding. I always love to see a man at the organ in our meetings) told me he was born in October. Believe it or not, every day when I think of the date I silently catalog those whom I know from early childhood at school, etc. who were born on that particular day. Now I will remember Abbie, too. (If that grammar made sense.) I'm not very smart this morning. Got to the house at 2:30 AM after a New Years Day that began in Portland at 7 AM, back to Denver, on to Chicago and back again. Delays. Delays. Delays. I am soooo sick of this weather!
