HALLOWEEN COOKIE FUN
As you know, your Dad and I home teach families up on the Paterson Hill. One of the families we teach have 5 children that we have grown to love. Last Christmas, I had the three older girls over to make sugar cookies. This year I wanted to make some Halloween cookies so we set up today as the day we would do it. Their mom brought them at 11am and we started in. It was alot of fun. Bill went and got pizza for all of us and when we were all done, we sat down together and had lunch. McKell and Bill took a walk to the mailbox together and the other two and I stayed behind and cleaned up the kitchen. It was alot of fun. Hope you all enjoyed the Halloween cookies I brought you last weekend. FYI When Harold was 9 months old, I went to Denver and spent a few weeks with Ross and Georgia after school let out. I was 15 at the time. One night, Georgia and I wanted to make some sugar cookies so we started looking through her cookbooks for a good recipe. The infamous sugar cookie recipe I use is the one Georgia and I found that night. Little did I know how many people would speak of these sugar cookies.

That looks like it was a blast. You guys are the best home teachers! I have some great memories of people who had their own families to spoil and love, but chose to love us too and make us feel like family.
Do you want to share the "family" recipe with us??!!
Thanks for sharing. I bet those girls talk about their Halloween cookie day with the Smiths for quite some time. They turned out great.
Aunt Beth
that is such a fun idea! looks like you had a good time. is that the recipe that calls for nutmeg and sour cream? otherwise - i don't know which it is. and i feel kind of bad for being out of the loop on this "family recipe".
Wish we could have been there. Love you!
Britty,
The recipe does not call for nutmeg and sour cream. I told you mom about it once and she didn't remember it. Obviously she didn't keep making it. I'll share the recipe if you're interested.
yes please!
