HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO....................

.................HAROLD
This is a two fold post. #1 to wish Harold a very happy birthday. I know this will be an unexpected surprise but it has been an unexpected 10 years that you have fed and befriended all four of our kids. I never thought that someone would be in the Provo area to take such good care of them while they have been at school. You are a loyal family member and I'm glad to count you as part of my family. Thank you for all you and Jeanna have done for Emalei, Abbie, Dale and Dane. We love you and hope you have a happy birthday. :) #2 This is a test to see if Harold is really into the blogging scene yet. It doesn't count if someone calls and tells you to look on the blog. In any case - - you are appreciated and again HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Is that Harold? I haven't seen too many of his baby pictures and I am not sure why. I think Georgia has them, but we don't have ANY! If you read this Georgia, I would love to take some of those pics off your hands!

Thanks Janet for thinking of my dear Harold on his 38th birthday.

Jeanna,

Yes, that is really Harold and I have at least a dozen pictures of Harold up to about 2 years old. I was smitten with him when I was in high school and took alot of pictures. You are welcome to have them if you would like. e-mail me your address and I'll send them off. No offense Harold but you should really have them and you'd love seeing them.

Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that was me if you had offered me a million dollars. Thanks for posting the picture. It is hard to believe, and I'm sure this is true for everyone, I was ever that young, that I was ever a baby. Even Mackson refers to the time he was a baby as soooo long ago. I laugh every time he refers to the long life he has had on the earth. I'm having a great day. Thirty eight years and counting. Hopefully I'll make it to thirty nine, I am sooo old.

My gosh, that's Harold at his first Christmas. We spent it in Rawlins with G & G Huggins. After that we always had Christmas at home.

Thank you for appreciating Harold and Jeanna's hospitality. They have loved having family around to share fun and food with. I appreciate them for their interest in extended family. It has enriched their lives, and made mind happier when I have been there to share the good times.

Is that the sugar cookie recipe from the old brown cook book my mom sent with me to college? If it is, that IS the best sugar cookie recipe around. There are others I make sometimes that are good, but for sheer soft vanilla goodness, this is the one.

Georgia,
The sugar cookie recipe is a soft cookie and you cut the Crisco into the flour and sugar. We love and so does everyone who's had them. As for the picture of Harold, I didn't have a date on the back of the picture but I remember when you stopped at our house and we took the pictures. I was thinking it was when you went to the temple but I was young enough that I maybe had my dates confused. I took alot of pictures at that visit. Harold was the coolest thing at that time.
Again, glad to have you aboard.

I think the system is getting upset because I keep signing in as "anonymous". Now when I click on comments to see what other people have written, I can't even get that. Just nothing. And when I click on "leave a comment", nothing either. So, this window came up, and I am not sure just exactly what blog it belongs to, so I will say it all in this one.

Congratulations to Dane and Bridget! What a great engagement photo. Relaxed and happy. Don't forget to send us an invite.

Janet, you are correct about the date of Harold's picture. I looked more closely, and not only is he older, he has on a different suit than the one in the photos in Rawlins for Christmas. That was a wild time for us. Remember we ran out of gas 19 miles east of Rock Springs on the way to the temple. Marie had come with us so she could see Cynthia in SLC. We we late for our appointment at the temple, PLUS no one had informed us that we were supposed to have taken a family group sheet showing us as parents and Harold as the son. Big whoops! All was well that ended well. One of my favorite pictures of me and Ross was after we went to the temple and stopped to visit on our way home. We are sitting on the couch together looking very happy.

Maybe you have a copy of that one, too. By all means, if you have pictures, send them to Harold. Ours are in boxes down the basement in the form of slides. Ross preferred them to prints. Always a nuisance if I just wanted to look at something. Someday I want to get them into a video or DVD format. Tell my kids that all the time. No one has responded. Take care.

Georgia,
Yes, I have the picture of you and Ross on the couch. I'll gather those pictures up and send to Harold. I have some cute ones. Remember when I was at G'm and pa's for the summer and I took care of Harold? That was the time Cynthia had Amy. I have pictures from that too. I'll send them all.
I don't know why you are having problems in reading and adding to comments. This one is with Harold baby picture. Keep trying.
