Just for the fun of it....

I figured I would humor Mom and Abbie and put a post up. It is kind of funny and kind of sad to see that all but one of the posts is from either Mom or Abbie and all the comments on the posts are from either Mom or Abbie.

I don't really have much to say on this wonderful thing except for classes just started and I am pretty busy with all of that. Also I am continuing to plug away at the LSAT. Really, in the end, I will be glad to have it out of my life. I can't say that it has been a negative thing in my life though. I have learned a lot from it and have taking great strides in my intelectual capabilities. Okay, who knows about all of that.

Had dinner last night with Harold and Jeanna and the kids. It was a bit of a change though because we cooked and had them over to Abbie and Scott's. I think the best things of the night was the way the fresh mozerella was perfectly sliced into nice squares and the smoothness of the whip cream layer on the dessert. That was about all Abbie trusted me to do, and rightfully so. We had some nice conversation though and caught up on a lot of old blog stuff.

I am the new ward organist and I went Tabernacle style on everyone yesterday on the closing hymn. On the last verse I changed the setting to a nice full sound and pushed down a little on the volume level to increase the sound. Then during the chorus (the hymn was "Now Let Us Rejoice") I started adding all the notes of the chord to add a complete sound. Needless to say, it was a hit. I told Abbie and Scott yesterday that it won't be too long before Daledogg is married. The ladies were impressed.

Hope this is a crowd pleaser. Notice how these few paragraphs summed up about the last 3 months of my life. Not much going on in my world right now. That should change now though with this cool blog motivating me to get out there and do some exciting things so that I can post them. :)

Yay! How fun to see that Dale is posting. I almost thought that Dad had written the post below and I thought maybe the 2nd coming was arriving... you know, someone other than me and Mom posting to our blog. :) So glad to see that you're writing.

Dale you are funny! Thanks for the good laugh. I had no idea you even played the piano. I'll be waiting for a wedding invitation because I'm sure it won't be long now:) Your good looks, great personality, LSAT completed (eventually), you play the organ, you cook, man, what is not to love?! I'm glad you posted 'cause you made my day!!

My gosh...everyone comments on how the only people who post are mom and Abbie, but hello! I've posted and made comments. Sorry it hasn't been daily! I'll pick up the pace!

Dale,

You didn't mention the tabernacle style organ playing when we ate last night. I would have liked to know about the wedding invitations in the wings!

EXCUSE ME!!! Only mom and Abbie comment?? Obviously you aren't reviewing ALL comments....

At the same time, maybe there's a lesson or two we can learn from Dale in terms of simplifying our lives.... Reminds me of something I recently read regarding scrapbooking a person's life: One page, or at the most two, for each year of your life. Challenging but a good idea I thought.

Anyone on this blog who could film Dale's tabernacle-style playing (with sound) and post on the site? I'd love to hear it. We used to have that type of organist in our ward and I loved it. He'd really let loose on some of the hymns, especially during Christmas or Easter programs. We did some great arrangements back when I could sing.
